Neil Baxter Bio

October 16, 2018Neil Baxter

Hello! I’m Neil, an independent social scientist attached to the University of Warwick. I’m currently working on a long-term project analysing recreational running as a social practice, and am also in the process of researching a book on the subject.

My wider research interests include lifestyle, health and human-nature interactions, particularly in relation to identity and selfhood. I have written for both academic and wider public audiences, including a regular column for Running magazine.

I live in Cambridge in England with my wife, two children.
